Imagine 19th century India. Gardenia filled gardens, streets filled with colorful dressed locals, the English all in white, and ladies drinking Jamine tea. This is the world the audience entered when they watched Elie Saab's 2016 spring collection that debuted in Paris this week. What stuck out to me most were the beautiful bridal looks that Saab created. What I love most about Saab's creations are how glamourous and feminine they are. He always knows how to add a sparkle for any occasion. According to Vogue, "...the collection was a call and response between Edwardian...and Indian pieces". His final look was a stunning bride cascading down the cat-walk in a beaded gown and a sari like veil. This collection not only took us back to another world but showed us the true creativity and beauty in gown design.
