Saffron for Fall

Autumn is right around the corner and I couldn't be more excited. It's a new season filled with pumpkin spice lattes, leather jackets, apple scented candles, moto boots, and most importantly a change in color palettes; and I'm not just talking nail polish ladies. I am excited for fall wedding colors - saffron to be exact!

The golden hue adds warmth and brightness to any venue, while the tone compliments all skin tones. I personally love how it parallels the autumn leaves and gives the perfect hint of fall. Large sunflowers, crisp leaves and bright Gerber Daisies are the perfect floral touch. If you can incorporate authentic saffron stems in your floral arrangements it actually gives off a hint of the scent of hay which is quite fitting for this time of year. Some eastern cultures believe it gives off an aphrodisiac aroma... talk about love being in the air at a wedding! Plus, the lighting options are endless. Lit candles and soft lights add a rustic, romantic look while highlighting the color beautifully.

You can incorporate this color with bridesmaid dresses, groomsman boutonnieres, flower-girl sashes or even tie saffron colored bows on the chair backs. As for bridesmaids styling, this color looks great with a cranberry lip and gold jewelry. The beauty of this color adds a warm vibe of festivities, fall and most of all family.
