I may have said this once before over Instagram but I just need to talk about it on the blog. My favorite wedding dress of 2015 is of creative art director Sofia Sanchez Barrenchea de Bateck. The gorgeous bride married Alexander de Bateck in Patagonia, South America. Their wedding was something out of a Vogue story book (if there ever was one)! Guests arrived on horseback for a gaucho-style picnic along the glistening lake Traful. The picnic was very old world western, as they sported ponchos and cowboy boots!
Now for the gown… the bride wore a 20's style custom Valentino gown, which was covered in sequins and beads. Her gown, which was more like a piece of art work took a total of 1,800 hours to create! Guests wore flowers crowns and the gentleman sported Darth Vader style shoes. In fact, the groom loves Star Wars so much there was Star Wars elements seen throughout the wedding from wine bottle labels to menu cards. Sofia then later changed into a custom gown by Rodarte, but my favorite of the celebration was her Valentino gown. From the intricate beading, to her unique veil, it all seems so elegant and old world.
