Pigment Foil Stamp on Quartz Paper

It's been a while since we gave you the low down on printing and with the holidays and winter weddings approaching, this time of year everything looks extra festive! That being said we're giving you a lesson in one of my favorite styles of printing, foil stamp.  Why is it my favorite? It can jazz up any piece of paper, whether it's your wedding invitations or the edges of your save the dates, foil stamping can add a pop of sparkle to anything. It can make any invitation glamorous, elegant, playful or polished and the design will play the biggest factor in how the foil stamp is received.

So how is foil stamping processed? Heated foil or metallic pigment is transferred to the paper's surface where it then adheres leaving the foil design effect. This process is normally done on a Kluge or Heidelberg press. The foils come in a large variety of colors and finishes such as matte, gloss or metallic.  Lately, we've seen a big trend in metallic such as gold or rose gold. Foil stamping adds the perfect festive touch for a winter wedding - whether your nuptials are near the holidays or new years, foil can definitely jazz up your invitations.
